QUETTA: The Balochistan Union of Journalists and Quetta Press Membership (QPC) on Sunday determined to launch a country-wide protest marketing campaign towards the locking of press membership by the district administration and police.
Police and native administration locked the gates of QPC on Saturday to cease Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) members from holding a seminar.
The BYC members in protest laid siege to the press membership for hours and entered the constructing after breaking the locks and held their seminar in Corridor 1 of the press membership which was booked for the occasion.
A joint assembly of the manager committees of Balochistan Union of Journalists and QPC, presided over by their presidents, Khalil Ahmed and Abdul Khaliq Rind, respectively, was held on Sunday night.
