ISLAMABAD: The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises (CCoSOEs) made a big resolution on Monday, approving the Energy Division’s proposal for the nomination of impartial administrators for particular electrical energy distribution firms.
This resolution, which is now set for onward submission to the cupboard, is essential for the way forward for these firms.
The committee assembly, chaired by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, didn’t approve the Ministry of Railways’ proposal to classify 4 railway firms as strategic and important and directed it to submit a metamorphosis plan.
The Ministry of Science and Know-how proposal was deferred with the path to submit a marketing strategy concerning the reforms deliberate for STEDEC.
Whereas approving the proposal of Ministry of Informationrmation and Broadcasting, the CCoSOEs recognised the strategic nature of Pakistan Tv Company and Pakistan Broadcasting Company and directed the Ministry of Info and Broadcasting to current a viable marketing strategy to the committee for environment friendly management of those enterprises.
The assembly was attended by Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, Minister for Financial Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, SECP chairman, federal secretaries and different senior officers of the related ministries.
